FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE AUGUST 21, 2018
ROTTERDAM, HONG KONG

Volareo cements its position as an AI trailblazer through a new partnership with Hong Kong-based decentralized deep-learning training protocol Raven Protocol.

Both Volareo and Raven share a vision to empower independents, in content creation and artificial intelligence respectively. Together, they will work to make Volareo’s smart speaker work as seamlessly as possible for users.

Independent development in AI and ML
Development in the democratization and decentralization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) has been limited, up until now. A majority of people are still oblivious of the extensive struggle that AI community is facing, to make AI an easy and accessible affair for all. The important role that AI is playing and will play in our everyday lives is unfathomable for many.

Companies or those seeking to improve lives by implementing AI in their systems have been finding themselves unable to fully bring their ideas to fruition. A lack of resources has left developers with few choices. Raven helps such individuals and companies to fully exploit the potential of AI, economically and at scale.

Raven’s leaders have decades of deep technical expertise in building large scale systems, distributed computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain. They have therefore built a decentralized & distributed deep-learning training protocol providing cost-efficient and faster training of deep neural networks.

Benefits for Volareo
The Volareo smart speaker, at the forefront of the decentralized revolution, benefits from Raven’s expertise, making the device capable of high level language and command processing. This means that not only will Volareo work smoothly with its streaming partners Musicoin, Choon, Emanate and Soundeon, but also with other platforms developers decide to build using the Volareo open-source software platform.

Nick Yap, founder of Volareo says ‘Democratization of the entertainment content realm goes hand in hand with advanced technology as machine learning and artificial intelligence development. Through this partnership we ensure that Volareo will stay on the forefront of new smart devices market and bringing tangible value into people’s lives”

Sherman Lee, founder of Raven says, ‘Deep learning is an expensive and time-consuming process. Natural language processing and speech recognition requires extracting millions of parameters to identify structure and patterns. It is computationally intensive. We’re excited to power this on a Volareo smart speaker that will be in every home.’

First orders of Volareo speakers can be made via the Indiegogo page here, for a price of $99USD for Early Bird adopters. An early-access link to the order page will be open for one month, from Aug 15th till Sept. 15th. Volareo is set to deliver in Q1 2019.
